Setting the Source
The source audio can be set in either the WireTap Studio controller, or in the source pane of the WireTap Studio preferences.
WireTap Studio can record from two separate sources, or just one. Each source can be all Mac Audio output, the audio of a specific application, or from any audio device connected to your Mac.
If two sources are recorded each source will be saved to a separate channel in a single file.
To set the source in the WireTap Studio controller:
- Click on the top Source popup menu and set the primary source.
- If two sources are to be recorded, click on the bottom Source popup menu and set the secondary source.
To set the source in the WireTap Studio preferences:
- Go to the WireTap Pro menu and select Preferences and click on the Source button.
- Click on the Source One popup menu and set the primary source.
- If two sources are to be recorded, click on the Source Two popup menu and set the secondary source.
If one of the source menus is set to Line in or an input device, the Configure button will become active. Click on it to launch the Audio MIDI Setup utility. Use the Audio MIDI Setup utility to configure the input device.
